what are these affiliations that the athletes are listed under? IND for Toby and Walker? UWA?

I would imagine IND = independent and UWA has something to do with Western Australia. Toby and Brad are competing as guests in some Aussie championship meets.

It doesn't look like track is too big in Australia. That reminded me of some special last chance meet set up to get a hand full of athletes qualifying marks.

Pretty cool vault, though.

I dunno, read all the articles I posted that were in the Aussie press today. I can't remember the last time a single event at a US track meet got that much coverage.

Believe me, I'm not suggesting track is big in the US. I'm just surprised how sparse things looked in that video. I understand that the Vault often runs late after everything else is packed up. But still, there was about 3 people jogging in the background of a 19+ vault and a field of at least 3 19 foot Vaulters!

Actually this has been discussed before, because Burgess jumped 6 meters in a meet like that. I think that most of the fans sit on the side that was being filmed from. I want to say it is in the shade or something (it's summer down there).

jcoov, I thought the same thing. I thought his swing looked much longer with little tucking. He looked a little slow, probably because of the injury. But, what a great looking jump. His takeoff was awesome. Hope he gets healthy. It will be exciting to see what he can do when he does.
