I've never 'maxed out'...b/c we always have PV practice when the rest of the team does that...but I don't do reps w/ more than 100

..ok, and another thing about benching that 's kinda off topic...don't try to do it w/ a broken wrist. I really missed lifting arms, and i tried to lift the bar...couldn't do it :crying:

I'm a Freshman in High school and I've maxed at 135 and weigh about 120.... I haven't benched in about a month and a half because I did something to my shoulder a couple weeks ago Vaulting...the weird part is that it was my bottom arm, not my top arm.

I acutally benched a few days ago which I haven't done in probably a year. I maxed out at 210 which I was pretty proud of since I haven't benched in so long and I only weigh 165. Pull Ups are my specialty though.

I can max 200 and i weigh 150, pull-ups, dips, and bubkas are alot easier though. Usually my hands are blood red before i stop doin bubka's

I don't really train to max out but the most I ever did was 275.

I can bench 95lbs on a good day. sometimes not even that much.
I weigh 115lbs- but hey i'm trying

So everyone heres got a pretty good bench to bodyweight ratio right? Is that a thing with pole vaulters because someone told me that if you can bench more than your bodyweight then thats good.

an average man should be able to do his body weight, where an average women should be able to do 75% of her body weight i believe

Are you guys refering to how much weight you can bench for 1 rep or 10? For one i can bench 130, and for 10 i can bench 100. Is that good? I am a girl and i wiegh 118.

That's pretty good! The amount of weight you can do for one rep is considered a "max".

there are actually tables to convert peoples 2-10 rep to a 1 rep max
